Applications

UHMWPE Wear Liners for Transfer Chutes

Transfer chutes are critical components in bulk material handling systems, directing coal, ore, aggregates and other materials from one conveyor or processing stage to another. During operation, high material flow rates, impact loading and continuous sliding can cause severe abrasion and material buildup on chute surfaces. UHMWPE wear liners provide a durable, low-friction and wear-resistant lining solution that protects the chute structure, improves material flow and reduces maintenance requirements.

Transfer Chute Applications

Wear Protection and Material Flow Improvement

UHMWPE wear liners are installed on the internal surfaces of transfer chutes to reduce direct contact between bulk materials and the steel chute structure. Their high wear resistance, low coefficient of friction and excellent impact resistance make them suitable for demanding material transfer applications, particularly where abrasive materials, high throughput and continuous operation are involved.

  • Protects chute surfaces from continuous abrasion caused by coal, ore, aggregates and other bulk materials.
  • Reduces friction between conveyed materials and chute walls for smoother material flow.
  • Helps minimize material buildup and blockage in areas where wet or sticky materials are handled.
  • Provides impact and wear protection in high-load feeding and transfer zones.
  • Extends the service life of steel chute structures by reducing direct material-to-metal contact.
  • Helps reduce maintenance frequency and downtime in continuous bulk material handling operations.
  • Suitable for conveyor transfer points, discharge chutes, loading chutes and material diversion systems.
  • Can be fabricated and installed in different shapes and thicknesses to fit specific chute designs.
